Showers into Monday Morning and Cooler

Showers overnight then a drying trend with cooler temperatures.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Temperatures will drop by 20 degrees for highs on Monday in the 60s, compared to the near record highs we had on Sunday in the 80s.

An area of showers and a few storms moving through at times for overnight, with a few showers into Monday morning. Then some sunshine for the afternoon and cooler highs behind a cold front. Temperatures will drop throughout the day, expect 40s by Monday night.

It will feel that much cooler, after temperatures reached the mid to lower 80s on Sunday, and 83 F in Buffalo which was the first time since mid October (and near the record daily high of 86 F, set back in 1962).

Monday we will start the day with a few showers, but clear by the afternoon and cooler highs behind the cold front, in the upper 50s to low 60s and dropping throughout the day.

It will be windy for Monday with southwest winds 20 to 30 mph and gusts around 40 mph. And breezy for Monday night.

Then high pressure will build in and bring a little stretch of dry weather from later Monday into Wednesday with near average temperatures.

Tuesday looks great with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s.

Wednesday looks partly sunny with rain showers later in the day, highs mid to upper 60s.
