No one hurt in early morning fire in Lockport

Fire started in attached garage shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Jefferson Drive.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Firefighters were called out early Wednesday morning to battle flames coming from a two-car attached garage at a home on Jefferson Drive in the City of Lockport. 

Crews managed to contain the damage mostly to the garage. A search found that no one in the home at the time. The owners said they were not living there right now and had moved most of the furniture and household goods into the garage while they were painting the inside of the home.

No one was hurt. Damage was set at just over $46,000. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
