Police asking for help finding top of historic fountain in Fredonia

Police say two people were seen removing it early Thursday morning shortly after 2 a.m.

FREDONIA, N.Y. — Fredonia Police are looking for the public's help in an unusual case.

They say two people were spotted removing the top of the historic fountain located in the West Barker Commons located downtown. 

The larceny and criminal mischief took place shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the suspects came from the west side of the park and took off in the same direction.
