2022 Erie County Fair forecast

We couldn't have asked for better weather for the first few days of the fair!

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Good new fair-goers: the sunny and warm weather continues heading into the weekend!

Similar conditions are expected to last through the weekend too. A few high level clouds Saturday but still a predominantly sunny day with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 70s. Highs will be back in the upper 70s Sunday too and both days will also stay relatively mild with little to no humidity.

Just be aware that even though it won't be oppressively hot or humid, the direct sun will still be just as intense. Sunburn times in the high UV index expected Friday through Sunday could be as little as 15 minutes without sun protection.

Sunday will be a transitional day as the next potentially rainy weather system moves in early next week. Shower chances can't be ruled out Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at this point but no day looks to be a complete washout over the next week. Temperature trends also show that it may not be as hot either, similar to this past week with afternoon highs only in the upper 70s.

And looking ahead to late next week and the following weekend, this below-average temperature trend could hold throughout most of the fair. Climate Prediction Center temperatures outlooks for the middle of the month show much of the eastern half of the country with a shot at below-average temperatures including Western New York. So instead of high temperatures in the low 80s for this time of year, it could mean afternoon highs in the mid-upper 70s instead. Only time will tell!
