NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Local hotelier Jay Patel is adding to his growing portfolio by acquiring a hotel that overlooks the American side of Niagara Falls.
Patel confirmed his plans to buy the 110-room Comfort Inn The Pointe from Maid of the Mist Hospitality LLC, which is an affiliate of the Maid of the Mist Corp. The deal is expected to close by April 1. Patel’s Prospect Pointe Hotel LLC will pay $11.125 million for the hotel at 1 Prospect Point.
“It is one of the most prominent locations in Niagara Falls,” Patel said.
