Niagara County Correctional Facility inmate charged with harassment

An inmate has been charged at the Niagara County Correctional Facility for allegedly throwing an unknown liquid substance at an officer.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A 24-year-old inmate at the Niagara County Correctional Facility has been charged with one count of harassment in the second degree while already serving time for unrelated charges. 

The inmate, Ajay C. Butcher had allegedly thrown an unknown liquid substance at an officer, according to the Niagara County sheriff's Office. Some of the unknown liquid substance did come into contact with the officers face. 

Butcher will appear for court at a later date in the Town of Lockport.
