JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown hospital could see job cuts as its parent company lays off about 1,000 employees.
Pittsburgh-based UPMC, the largest nongovernmental employer in Pennsylvania, announced today it would cut about 1% of its 100,000 employees. Those layoffs will come throughout its health care system as well as in its health insurance division and other units.
They will also come from UPMC Chautauqua, the 287-bed hospital formerly known as WCA Hospital, which became part of UPMC in 2016. You can read the full article on Buffalo Business First's website.
