BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo woman has pleaded guilty in connection with a hit and run accident during St. Patrick's Day weekend in South Buffalo.

Maggie A. Coyle, 49, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Buffalo City Court to one count of Leaving the Scene of an Incident without Reporting Resulting in Personal Injury, and one count of Driving While Intoxicated.

Investigators say Coyle was driving while intoxicated on Cazenovia Street in South Buffalo when she hit two people while turning onto Cumberland Avenue on March 16.  Coyle left the scene without contacting police.  She was found a short time later by Buffalo Police officers.

One of the victims was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  The other victim, a 23-year-old male was taken to ECMC to be treated for a head injury.

In addition to Coyle's driver's license being suspected, she was ordered to participate in an impaired driver's course and pay $1,445 in fines and surcharges.
